ABOUT CASCINA MONTAGNOLA

We’ve all dreamed of escaping our office jobs and buying a dilapidated house in the country to start a farm…well, that’s just what Donatella Giannotti and Bruno Carvi did in 1988. After a couple of years of commuting from Milan to a rare ‘undiscovered’ region of Piedmont and kitting the place out, they released their first wine in 1997, learning and growing with their close-knit team.

OUR FAVE THING ABOUT THIS WINE
Another hyper-local varietal that was on the brink of extinction because it’s such a fuss to grow, Timorasso has made a big comeback in the last decade or so, largely thanks to Donatella and Bruno.
THE TECHNICAL STUFF
Place: Colli Tortonesi, Piedmont, Italy
Grape: Timorasso
Style: BOLD white!
