Ali in Wonderfuland is the creative playground of Alice Verburg, daughter of Penny and Niels Verburg of Luddite Wines. Raised among the vines and barrels of Bot River, Alice now works alongside her dad in the cellar, while carving out her own whimsical, small-batch brand.

Ali in Wonderfulland is all about curiosity, instinct, and play. Each year, Alice makes just a few barrels—around 600 bottles—exploring a new varietal with no fixed recipe and no fear of the unexpected. Her winemaking is minimal intervention, naturally fermented, and deeply expressive of the land she grew up on.

The label is as much a part of the story as the wine itself: every vintage features a new interpretation of Ali with the moon, a nod to her dreamlike approach and the ever-changing nature of her craft. These are wines with soul, spontaneity, and a touch of wonder.
