Cantina Berritta is a Sardinian treasure tucked beneath the family’s grocery store in the mountain town of Dorgali. Locals pop in for cheese and bread upstairs, while just below, the Berritta family quietly crafts some of the island’s most soulful wines.

Founded by Antonio Berritta, the winery is now run with the help of his wife Maria Paola and their children Serena and Francesco. Even Antonio’s grandchildren are starting to get their hands purple—making this a true multigenerational affair.

The vineyards lie in the Oddoene Valley, a dramatic stretch of decomposed granite and limestone kissed by mountain breezes. Certified organic and farmed by hand, the grapes are fermented with native yeasts and minimal intervention. Expect expressive Cannonau, rare white Panzale, and a splash of Syrah—all bottled with Sardinian soul and a wink of underground charm.
