Location: Riverland, Australia
Farming Practices: Organic
Delinquente Wine Co is the rebellious brainchild of Con-Greg Grigoriou, a winemaker who grew up surrounded by vines in South Australia's Riverland but refused to play by the rules. Instead of chasing prestige or power, he leaned into the region’s sun-soaked charm and lesser-known Italian varietals—think Nero d’Avola, Vermentino, and Montepulciano—and started making wines that were fresh, fun, and unapologetically drinkable. The name “Delinquente” is a cheeky nod to doing things differently, with labels that look like punk album covers and juice that’s built for good times.
Con-Greg’s approach is all about minimal intervention and maximum personality. Fruit is organically farmed, ferments are wild, and sulfur is kept low. The wines are lo-fi but clean, expressive but easygoing—designed to be smashed at a picnic or sipped at a party, not cellared for decades. Delinquente is proof that serious wine doesn’t have to take itself seriously. It’s Riverland, reimagined.
